Early morning accident on I-55 sends one to hospital

[AUG. 14, 2006]  Christopher F. Taylor, 23, of Forsyth was driving a black 2006 Chrysler 300 southbound on Interstate 55 near Milepost 140 on Sunday at approximately 3:40 a.m. He failed to maintain control of the vehicle and drove into the center median. The vehicle overturned in the center median and came to rest upright in the median.

Taylor had non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Bloomington by the Logan County Paramedic Association.

Assisting Illinois State Police at the scene were the Logan County Sheriff's Department, Logan County Paramedic Association and Atlanta Fire Department.

Taylor was issued citations for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
