Mount Pulaski to Elkhart: Roadwork to be done at various locations          Send a link to a friend

[AUG. 17, 2006]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Roadwork is tentatively scheduled to begin sometime at the end of the week of Aug. 21 or the beginning of the week of Aug. 28.

Location 1 -- Dekalb Street from Winter to Spring Street

The road will be ground down, then chipped and oiled. Approximate time to complete: four-five days.

Location 2 -- Cooke Street from Vine to Garden Street

The work involves asphalt overlay, filling in the cracks and putting down cinders.

Location 3 -- Jefferson Street from Vine to Garden Street

The work involves asphalt overlay, filling in the cracks and putting down cinders.

Location 4 -- Spring Street north of railroad tracks to high school to Lipp Road

The work involves asphalt overlay, filling in the cracks and putting down cinders.

Location 5 -- Elkhart blacktop from Route 121 to Danbury Place

The work involves asphalt overlay, filling in the cracks and putting down cinders.

Locations 2-5 should take only one day total for all locations to be completed.

An exact start date has not been set at this time. Weather is a large factor in determining the start date and actual work dates.

People who live in these work areas might need to make alternative parking arrangements. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this might cause.
