Beason briefs          Send a link to a friend

[AUG. 30, 2006]  BEASON -- Heather Fuller presented an idea to Oran Township for the construction of a "Welcome to Beason" sign that she designed. Fuller was given permission to go ahead with the sign, but she is interested in knowing what people in community would like printed on the sign, such as slogans. When the sign has been made, it will be put up in Beason's town park.

Fuller has also spoken with Sheriff Steve Nichols about bringing the Neighborhood Watch program to town. The program needs people to volunteer. Interested people can call her for more information.

The town flagpole has been repainted and a new, large flag put up. The flag was donated by the American Legion in Lincoln.

Anyone wanting to contribute ideas for the sign or learn more about the Neighborhood Watch program can call Heather Fuller at 217-447-3404.
