Area Agency on Aging awards funding

[DEC. 1, 2006]  SPRINGFIELD -- Julie Hubbard, executive director of the Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland, announced Wednesday that the agency has awarded federal Older Americans Act and state general revenue funds to the area organizations listed below to provide services in fiscal 2007, from Oct. 1, 2006, through Sept. 30, 2007.

Area Agency on Aging is a nonprofit planning and service agency designated by the Illinois Department on Aging to develop programs and supportive services for people 60 years of age and older, for family caregivers, and for grandparents raising grandchildren. The agency serves Cass, Christian, Greene, Jersey, Logan, Macoupin, Mason, Menard, Montgomery, Morgan, Sangamon and Scott counties.
