'Lunch and Learn' offers legal direction for families caring for older adults and grandparents raising children          Send a link to a friend

[DEC. 11, 2006]  SPRINGFIELD -- On Wednesday, the Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland will host the second in a "Lunch and Learn" series of monthly informational programs for family caregivers of older adults and for relatives raising children. The presentation, "Power of Attorney, Guardianship and the Living Will," addresses these important legal tools that can help caregivers act in the best interests of their care receivers. Attorney Benjamin Brown of the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation will lead the session.

Lunch and Learn programs are free to the public and are offered over the lunch hour to accommodate working caregivers. The one-hour informational sessions are at the Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland, 3100 Montvale Drive, from noon to 1 p.m. Preregistration is required and lunch is provided.
