[DEC. 15, 2006]  Sue Beavers, an inpatient pharmacy technician at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, has been named the ALMH 2006 Employee of the Year. She was the ALMH Employee of the Month in June 2006 and in June 1992.

Beavers was hired in 1977 to work both in the pharmacy and in the storeroom. Today, she is a licensed and certified pharmacy technician. She contributes to the hospital's success by processing medication orders, delivering medications to departments and individual patient rooms, and answering pharmacy-related questions from nurses and other professionals.

"Sue will help to solve a problem of any kind and goes the extra mile to make sure the problem is solved," her nominator wrote. "She does a great job relating to all people, is always pleasant to be around and is always there to help."

ALMH President and CEO Dolan Dalpoas commented: "Sue is an outstanding staff member and a great person. We are very proud of the work she does every day to create great patient experiences. She has worked hard for many years and truly deserves this award."
