DivorceCare series steers recovery and healing process         

Support group begins Jan. 8

[DEC. 20, 2006]  A weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced will be offered from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays beginning Jan. 8 at Jefferson Street Christian Church, 1700 N. Jefferson.

Each of the 12 DivorceCare sessions will include a video on an issue related to divorce and recovery. Videos feature nationally recognized experts on topics such as coping with loneliness, depression and anger; financial survival; helping children cope with their parents' divorce; and new relationships. The video is followed by group discussion.

DivorceCare will meet weekly through March 26. Participants may join the group at any time during the series; preregistration is not required. Cost of the DivorceCare workbook is $12. Child care is available.
