Lincoln Zonta Club brings toys to Head Start classrooms          Send a link to a friend

[DEC. 23, 2006]  Each year, the Lincoln Zonta Club assists the CIEDC Head Start program in Lincoln by providing needed items for the classrooms as part of the club's annual service project.

"This year Zonta Club members contacted us to ask our Head Start teachers to create wish lists for their classrooms," said Angela Stoltzenburg, CIEDC executive director. "The children and staff both were pleased with the new toys they received on Dec. 20. The children can't wait to come back to school now after the holidays so they can play with all the new games and toys. We are very appreciative to the Zonta Club for their support."

CIEDC, a Community Action agency, services 76 children in Logan County through the CIEDC Head Start program. Head Start is one of eight programs the agency coordinates in six central Illinois counties.
