[DEC. 27, 2006]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and trips. For more information, call 732-6132 or 732-5844.

Bingo sponsored by St. Clara's

St. Clara's Manor is sponsoring the bingo games that will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Oasis. Come join the fun and win some prizes.

Blood pressure check

The Oasis offers free blood pressures checks every Friday between 10 and 11:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary.

Oasis closed for New Year's

The Oasis will be closed Jan. 1 and 2 to celebrate New Year's. Daily activities will resume Jan. 3. Happy New Year!

Hearing screening

The Oasis will have free hearing checks Jan. 3 between 10 a.m. and noon. To schedule an appointment, please call 732-6132.

Winners for the week announced

Mina Bradburn and Linda Hughes were weekday pinochle winners, and the weekend pinochle winners were Esther Will and Marjorie Reiner. Congratulations.
