[FEB. 15, 2006]  Here are the sectional speech results for Lincoln Community High School:

The following events qualified for state:

First place -- Lindsey Boerma, original comedy

Second place -- Lindsey Boerma, humorous interpretation; Tony Curcuru and Rachel Kasa, dramatic duet acting; Janel Filbeck, oratory; Annie Sheley, radio speaking

Third place -- Tony Curcuru and Annie Sheley, humorous duet acting; Hannah Snyder, impromptu speaking; Ruth Ohmart, verse reading

Performance in the round -- Chelsea Filbeck, Brittany Reves, Jill Patrick, Jairris Vermeire, Rebecca Kasa, Kaylyn Engelhardt, Taylor Muck, Brandon Rahn, Cody Follis, Todd Schumacher and Cameron Kurtz

The following events made the finals but did not advance to the state tournament:

Fourth place -- Ruth Ohmart, prose reading; Janel Filbeck, special occasion speaking

Fifth place -- Hannah Snyder, extemporaneous

Sixth place -- Rachel Kasa, dramatic interpretation

Seventh place -- Amy Schumacher, oratorical declamation
