AMBER Alert issued for 4-year-old Sangamon girl      

[FEB. 23, 2006]  SPRINGFIELD -- The Sangamon County Sheriff's Department has confirmed a child abduction that occurred from 3050 Green Valley Road, Springfield, on Tuesday at 2 p.m. and was reported Wednesday. Taken was Cassandra M. McNear -- female, white, 4 years old, 3 feet, 42 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes. She was wearing a pink-red top with a heart in the middle, pink pants, white Nike tennis shoes and pink coat with cat pictures.

Cassandra was taken by her father, Adam L. McNear, driving a silver 2003 Mitsubishi Gallant with Illinois license plates 7287963. He may be en route to Highland, Calif.

Anyone with information should call 911 and advise they have an AMBER Alert report.
