Atlanta tourism and business expansion plans to be unfolded at motel grand opening          Send a link to a friend

[JAN. 27, 2006]  ATLANTA -- A ribbon-cut and grand opening are scheduled to take place at the motel in Atlanta at 9 a.m. on Monday. The motel is located on historic Route 66 and Interstate 55 at Exit 140.

Atlanta Mayor Bill Martin will officially open Americas Best Value Inn. Other dignitaries expected to attend this event are Mayor Beth Davis of Lincoln and Mayor Bill Glaze of Mount Pulaski, Logan County Board Chairman Bob Farmer, officeholders from the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce, directors of tourism, members of the Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership board, senior officeholders of Americas Best Value Inn, and prominent residents and business owners from Atlanta.

Owners are going to reveal plans for a two- to three-year project to promote Route 66 tourism as well as business development in Atlanta.

A tour to see all of the improvements will follow the event.
