[JULY 31, 2006]  A heat advisory continues until 7 p.m. Tuesday.

At 8:50 a.m. Monday the heat index was 98 degrees. People working in direct sunlight will feel a 15-degree increase over the heat index value.

Use extreme caution when working outside. Take frequent cooling breaks, increase water intake, and check on the elderly and children.
