[JUNE 7, 2006]  SPRINGFIELD -- Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich took action Tuesday on the following bills:

Senate Bill 176

Concerning: Education

Description: Creates the fiscal 2007 Budget Implementation (Education) Act to make changes in state programs that are necessary to implement the governor's fiscal 2007 budget recommendations concerning education.

Action: Approved

Effective: Immediately

Senate Bill 230

Concerning: Revenue

Description: Creates the fiscal 2007 Budget Implementation (Revenue) Act and amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. In a provision concerning notices of decrease in net loss, states that, in order for certain notice requirements to apply, the taxpayer must incur the loss in a taxable year ending prior to Dec. 31, 2002.

Senate Bill 1863

Concerning: State government

Description: Creates the fiscal 2007 Budget Implementation (Human Services) Act for the purpose of implementing the governor's fiscal 2007 budget recommendations concerning human services. Also amends the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act and the Illinois Public Aid Code.

Action: Approved

Concerning: Finance

Description: Creates the fiscal 2007 Budget Implementation (Finance) Act. Amends various acts to make state program changes that are necessary to implement the governor's fiscal 2007 budget recommendation concerning finance.

House Bill 4463

Concerning: Public employee benefits

Description: Amends the Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act of the Illinois Pension Code. Makes a change to the definition of "pension credit."

Concerning: State government

Description: Amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois and the Medical School Matriculant Criminal History Records Check Act. Makes a technical change to require a medical school to conduct an inquiry into the Department of State Police's Statewide Sex Offender Database for each matriculant.

Concerning: Local government

Description: Amends the Chicago Park District Working Cash Fund Act. Allows the Chicago Park District commissioners to abolish its working cash fund.
