Habitat plans next building goods sale and looks for next home

Habitat for Humanity will have its second
fundraiser sale of surplus building materials at its warehouse, 700
N. Kickapoo St., from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Building materials to be sold include kitchen cabinets, vanities,
bi-fold doors and interior door with jamb, exterior doors,
double-hung and casement windows, slider windows, and other
miscellaneous items. Many items are new. Proceeds from the sale
apply to Habitat's mission to provide simple, decent and affordable
shelter to people in Logan County who lack adequate housing.
A previous sale at the warehouse was on May 20.

Habitat for Humanity elected a slate of officers at its June
meeting. Allen Shew will replace Phil Dehner as president of the
board, and Tonita Reifsteck will serve as vice president for the
coming year. Continuing as treasurer is Harley Petri, and continuing
as secretary is Cindy Pagel.
Habitat is seeking the donation of a lot in Lincoln. The group
has selected a family for its 10th home but is in need of a lot for
the house. Board members may be contacted regarding the donation of
a lot.
