Dan Meyer has capability to lead          Send a link to a friend

To the editor:

Logan County shows great promise. We have so many things going for us... a great location in central Illinois, small-town friendly, willingness to grow, a great place to raise a family, quality health care, and the list goes on.

In order for Logan County to grow and flourish, we need good leaders who can guide us to desired community growth, financial stability and a safe environment for our families.

Logan County, you have a great leader in your midst. Mr. Dan Meyer is running for the Logan County Board in District 2. Because I don't believe in "bashing" other candidates, I will not speak to the capabilities of others. I will, however, speak about what I know, and what I know is this: Dan Meyer has what it takes to represent you -- the taxpayer. He is fair, interested, honest, business-minded, hardworking, inquisitive and a sound decision-maker.

[to top of second column]

You may be thinking, everyone says these things before they potentially get elected. Mr. Meyer does not fit that mold. He is an ordinary, yet extraordinary person who is not afraid to speak out constructively with his comments or concerns. You'll get the truth from Dan -- right upfront. Dan isn't running for popularity reasons or a personal agenda; he simply wants to make his contribution to help make Logan County a quality community in every way. He has been endorsed by the Logan County Farm Bureau and wants to represent you, the people. District 2, you are it. Get out and vote and exercise your voices.

Oh, I may have forgotten to mention, Dan Meyer just happens to be my dad. So I have a biased opinion, you say? Well, maybe a little. After all, I have known him for quite some time -- who better to vouch for his character? Does he need my support? Nope, he can stand on his own. But does he have support from me and my family? You bet! The decision is yours, Logan County.
