Bird banding to benefit Illinois Audubon and Illinois Raptor Center       Send a link to a friend

[MAY 6, 2006]  DECATUR -- The public is invited to Songbird Banding Day next Saturday at the Illinois Raptor Center with Vern Kleen, master bird bander from the Illinois and Springfield Audubon societies.

  • Time: May 13, 8:30 a.m.

  • Location: Illinois Raptor Center, 5695 W. Hill Road, Decatur, IL 62522

See what is flying around the Illinois Raptor Center as we net, band and release songbirds in the restored woods and prairie.

Cost is $10 per person, which includes an "adopt-a-songbird" donation to the Illinois Audubon Society's land acquisition fund.
