Benefit for Middletown fireman-paramedic-EMT

[MAY 26, 2006]  MIDDLETOWN -- A benefit for Harry Dean Boward is planned for June 10 at New Holland-Middletown Middle School. Boward is fighting lymphoma and is in need of help.

Since 1972 he has helped many people and saved many lives in the Logan County and central Illinois area through his service as a fireman, paramedic and EMT. Now the public can help him by attending a benefit in his honor sponsored by Middletown Firemen and Rescue and friends of Dean

A meal with barbecued pork, baked beans, chips, homemade desserts and drinks will be served from 3 to 7 p.m. Carryouts will be available.

An auction will follow at 7 p.m.

There will also be a 50-50 drawing.
