I will establish an unbiased hiring
list through professional testing practices, which is not based on
being friends or a quick fix to fill a vacancy with any warm body.
Only qualified individuals meeting all requirements will be
considered for the safety of Logan County citizens.
Repeated Contract Violations
by the sheriff have led to filing legitimate grievances by the
Union. This with current hiring practices has resulted in thousands
of wasted taxpayer dollars.
All police officers take the same oath
to uphold the laws of Illinois. We are supposed to be on the same
team, protecting all of Logan County, which means assisting officers
in other departments. A strong working relationship between Police
officers is a must.
I will provide training with
Certified Field Training Officers, which will improve our Deputies,
effectiveness and reduces liability for the county. This hasn't been
done.
I have visited several other police
agencies and reviewed their procedures, which has given me several
ideas that may help The Sheriff's office run more efficiently and
result in saving the taxpayer's money.
It's about your safety and doing
what's right for all the citizens of Logan County. |
