[NOV. 4, 2006]  Lincoln Park District wants to introduce Stephanie Winter to our community. She will be our fitness director, and she'll be based out of our Indoor Sports Center. Stephanie is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

Current and prospective members are being offered an opportunity to "meet and greet" Stephanie on Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. or Saturday, Nov. 11, from 8 to 10 a.m. If you are unavailable during these times, please feel free to contact her at 732-8770. Sign up for a personal training package, and you will receive one free session. She will be available for all of your fitness needs, ranging from an initial physical assessment to detailing a specific workout to meet your goals.

"Balls, Bellies and Butts." There, did that catch your eye? Actually, this Saturday morning workout class is for gals and guys using resist-a-balls and weights with movement. This total body workout will have you working on the areas that seem to nudge us back to the gym. Join Stephanie in the aerobics room for her one-hour workout beginning at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 18.

Along the lines of exercise and wellness, we are expanding our aerobics schedule. Pilates is a non-impact form of exercise that stretches, strengthens and balances the whole body. This class is designed for any fitness level. Beginning Nov. 18, classes will be one hour, starting at 9:30 a.m.

You may try these new classes on Nov. 11. Stephanie will introduce pilates in a half-hour session starting at 10:30. You may stay for Balls, Bellies and Butts from 11 to 11:30. Lincoln Park District will cover the cost for anyone wanting to participate.
