Siskowic presented second Gateway weekly honor

ST. LOUIS -- Illinois State senior linebacker
Cameron Siskowic was awarded his second Gateway Football
Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor this season on Sunday,
after the 2006 Buck Buchanan Award candidate collected 16 tackles
and forced a fumble in the Redbirds' 38-14 win over Missouri State.

Playing in his final regular-season game at Hancock Stadium,
Siskowic posted a game-high 10 solo stops. With the 16 tackles,
Siskowic is now the current tackle leader in I-AA football. He is
averaging 12.67 tackles per game and has registered 114 stops on the
season.
The weekly honor is the eighth by the Redbirds this season,
including the fourth by the defense, with Kye Stewart and Siskowic
each winning two.
