Lincoln College student groups to help elderly with leaf raking          Send a link to a friend

[NOV. 9, 2006]  Lincoln College student groups will help elderly residents of Lincoln by donating time in raking leaves on Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The leaf-raking event is an annual tradition at Lincoln College and is supported by members of the Lincoln College Student Senate.

John Stoltzenburg, director of student activities, says it's a great way for the students to give back to the community. "This project helps those in need, and our students can feel good about lending a hand," he said. "The students who donate their time and energy get the satisfaction of helping others, and those who need help with their leaves, get it. It's a win-win situation for all involved."

For those who would like help with their leaf raking, please call Stoltzenburg at 735-5050, ext. 327. Requests will be limited and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and weather permitting.
