Angels gain semifinals, advance to final

The Lincoln Christian College
Angels advanced to the semifinals of the National Christian College Athletic
Association Division II National Women's Volleyball Championship by
splitting two contests on Friday. After defeating Kentucky Christian
University 30-16, 30-26, 30-23, the Angels dropped a match to Clearwater
Christian College 28-30, 30-21, 22-30, 21-30.

This put LCC into the semifinals, facing Grace
University, which had wins over Southwestern College and Ozark
Christian College and ended the first two days undefeated.
The other semifinal featured Clearwater Christian
College and Maranatha Baptist Bible College. Clearwater entered the
semifinals 4-0 while Maranatha was 3-1.
In the semifinals on Saturday morning, LCC defeated
Grace University 30-22, 30-20, 30-16. Clearwater defeated Maranatha
30-27, 30-21, 30-25.
In the national championship match on Saturday
afternoon, LCC took second place, scoring 24-30, 30-26, 23-30, 21-30
in the final versus Clearwater Christian College, the new national
champions.
