For the last 11 years the Lincoln Jaycees have
sponsored the
Angel Tree, a project to help the less fortunate children of
Logan County. Angel tags with names on them are placed on Christmas trees
around the county in early November. Employees and customers then
pick angels from the trees and buy gifts for the children named on the tags. The Lincoln
Jaycees distribute these gifts to the families in early December.

The public can find the trees at the following locations: CEFCU,
Action Rental, Cracker Barrel, ALMH cafeteria, Einstein's Louisiana
Coffee House, Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce and State
Bank of Lincoln (508 Broadway St. location). An Angel Tree is also
located at Eaton Electrical for its employees. The Lincoln Jaycees
purchase gifts for any angel tags not picked from the trees. If you
would like to make a monetary donation, please send it to Lincoln
Jaycees, P.O. Box 254, Lincoln, IL 62656. Please make a notation
that it's for the Angel Tree.
Gift pickup day is Dec. 9, when gifts may be picked up 9
a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 2022 N. Kickapoo St.
