NORMAL --
The Illinois State football team won't know its official status in
the NCAA playoffs until Sunday, but one thing is for sure -- if the
Redbirds host a first-round game on Nov. 25, the Illinois State
residence halls will open a day early to accommodate the student
body.

The residence halls are scheduled to open on Nov. 26, but they will
open at 10 a.m. on Nov. 25 if the Redbirds are scheduled to host a
first-round game at Hancock Stadium that day. The ISU student body
has played an instrumental role in the Redbirds' success this
season. For the first time in 35 years, the Redbirds played two
games at Hancock Stadium with larger-than-capacity crowds. Illinois
State averaged 12,804 fans per game this season, for the largest fan
attendance since 1970.
