[NOV. 22, 2006]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and trips. For more information, call 732-6132 or 732-5844.

Oasis closed for Thanksgiving holiday

The Oasis senior center will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Daily activities will resume Monday at 9 a.m. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Bunco

Bunco games will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the senior center. Bring a friend and come for a day of fun. Refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday lunch

The 11:30 a.m. lunch for Nov. 28 will feature turkey stew, roll and a dessert for only $3.75, or $3.25 if you stay and play cards. Reservation deadline is noon Monday.

Blood pressure checks

The Oasis offers free blood pressures checks every Friday between 10 and 11:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary.

Winners for the week announced

Bernie Haley and Larry VanBibber were weekday pinochle winners. The weekend pinochle winners were Patricia Morrow and Linda Hughes. The weekend rummy winner was Ella Lee Graney. Congratulations.
