Three receive J. Richard Gehlbach Scholarship

[OCT. 4, 2006]  Three sophomores have been awarded the J. Richard Gehlbach Scholarship at Lincoln College in Lincoln. Aaron Brown and George Vanos of Lincoln and Brendan Cusick of River Forest are this year's recipients of the scholarship.


Aaron Brown

Brown, a 2005 Lincoln Community High School graduate, is taking liberal arts courses and plans to study music, with hopes of becoming a band director. He is the son of Brent Brown and Lauri Harris, both of Lincoln.


George Vanos

Vanos, a 2005 Lincoln Community High School graduate, is currently studying general education courses with an emphasis on physical education courses. He was named to the the fall 2005 and spring 2006 dean's list. He is the son of Stacie Behrends of Lincoln and the late John Vanos.

Cusick, a 2005 Oak Park and River Forest High School graduate, is taking liberal arts courses at Lincoln College. He is the son of Dr. Ralph Cusick of River Forest and Mary Margaret Scott-Cusick of Oak Park.

The J. Richard Gehlbach Scholarship is awarded to a worthy student and is given in memory of J. Richard Gehlbach by his father, John Gehlbach, a longtime member of the Lincoln College board of trustees.
