Five
students receive Berger Scholarship
[OCT. 5, 2006]
Five Lincoln College students have been awarded
the Marguarite and Paul Berger Scholarship. This year's recipients
are sophomores Whitney O'Donoghue of Lincoln, Abigail Segal of
Peoria and Kimberly Whitesell of LeRoy, along with freshmen Bobby
Collins Jr. of Miner and Kaylee West of Waynesville.

Whitney O'Donoghue
O'Donoghue, a 2005 graduate of Lincoln Community High School, is the
daughter of Dick and Myretta O'Donoghue of Lincoln. She was on the
fall 2005 dean's list.
Bobby
Collins Jr.
Collins, a 2006 graduate of Olympia High School, is the son of
Bobby and Theresa Collins of Minier. He is currently studying
general education courses and plans to continue his education at a
four-year university.

Kaylee
West
West, a 2006 graduate of Olympia High School, is the daughter of
Ron and Angela West of Waynesville. She plans to continue her
education at Monmouth College after earning an associate degree at
Lincoln College.
Segal, a 2005 graduate of Limestone High School, is the daughter
of Tim and Denise Segal of Peoria. She was on the fall 2005 special
honor's list and the spring 2006 dean's list. She is active with the
Lincoln College women's softball team.
Whitesell is a 2005 LeRoy High School graduate. She was on the
fall 2005 and spring 2006 special honors list, which requires
students to achieve a grade-point average of 4.0. She is active with
the Lincoln College Choir. She plans to continue her education at
Illinois State University and major in musical education. She is the
daughter of Jeff and Cathy Whitesell of LeRoy.
The Marguarite and Paul Berger Memorial Scholarship is awarded to
students in good academic standing. It is given by the Berger family
in memory of Paul Berger, a 1932 graduate of Lincoln College, along
with his sister Marguarite, a 1936 graduate of the college.
