Claude E. Allen

[OCT. 25, 2006]  Claude E. Allen, 87, of Lincoln died at 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2006 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm. on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 and one-hour prior to the service on Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Robert Twist will officiate.

Burial will be at Zion Cemetery with full military rites.

Mr. Allen retired as a supervisor after 26-years from Pittsburg Plate Glass Co. in 1982.

He was born to William Att and Ollie Mae Hutchinson Allen on Oct. 3, 1919 in Mason City. He married Lois Lines on Oct. 19, 1946 in Lincoln. He married Marilyn Horney on Aug. 6, 1973. He married Evelyn McGee on Aug. 9, 1987. He married Lois Lines Louck on June 25, 2001 in Springfield, TN.

He his survived by his wife Lois and one daughter, Carol (and Loren) in Lincoln; one son, Melvin (and Judy) Allen of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Maude Louise Erby of Lincoln; five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, nine great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Fred and Lee and one daughter, Frances.


He served in the U.S. Army, headquarters 350th AAA Search Light Battalion in the Pacific during WWII.

He was a life member of VFW #1756, the American Legion Post #263, AMVETS #71 and Disabled American Veterans.

Memorials may be made to the VFW #1756 of Lincoln building fund.
