Smoky Mountain Winterfest prepares for the holidays          Send a link to a friend 

[OCT. 28, 2006]  Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge -- Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge announce their annual winter festival which officially starts the beginning of the second week of November. Special guests, including Louise Mandrell, musical entertainment by David Holt and the Lightning Bolts: games and family fun are all part of this magical time.

With the flip of a switch, themed light displays turn on all over the towns. In Pigeon Forge, step on board the trolleys and experience the merriment of five million lights from the comfort of temperature controlled trolleys.

The magic of Dollywood’s  “Smoky Mountain Christmas”  runs from November 4- December 30th. Enjoy Dollywood’s 3.5 million lights which set the stage for the premiere of Dollywood’s most elaborate stage production…”Babes in Toyland.”  It’s a Christmas Spectacular like you’ve never seen before as a 20-member cast and fully orchestrated musical score bring this charming family classic to life.

Do all your Christmas shopping December 1-10 2006 is the world’s largest outlet sale with more than 300 outlet and specialty shops in Pigeon Forge.  Special shopping incentives will be offered to shoppers with receipts totaling $100, and purchasing items at 10 different participating outlet stores qualifies shoppers for a chance to win a free return trip to Pigeon Forge.
