The addition of United Healthcare allows services provided for
Caterpillar employees or retirees and their families to be covered
at the in-network rate.
Health insurance companies typically pay a higher percentage of a
hospital or doctor's office bill when an in-network provider is
used.
Health care consumers should understand in advance what charges
from which providers are covered at the maximum level and which are
not. Insurance provider arrangements can change frequently.
