[SEPT. 14, 2006]  The Logan Railsplitting Association has announced that one of the new events for their festival will be a Civil War ball. The ball will be on Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 1740 Fifth St. Teachers from central Illinois dancing clubs will be on hand to assist everyone in learning the steps to these simple old-time dances.

While the teachers will be in period dress, there is no dress code, so come as you are or in period costume; it is your choice. There will be period decorations, and snacks will be provided for everyone.

The admission cost is $5 for one person, $7.50 for a couple or $10 per family. Come on out to the American Legion Hall on Friday to enjoy a fun-filled night of dancing!
