[SEPT. 25, 2006]  SPRINGFIELD -- Anger management classes will be offered by the Family Service Center of Sangamon County, starting next month. The classes are for individuals and couples who would like to acquire techniques for controlling anger in difficult situations.

Classes will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning Oct. 12 and every Thursday for 14 weeks, at the Family Service Center, 1308 S. Seventh in Springfield.

The cost for the class is $20 per class per person or $30 per class for a couple taking the class together. An additional cost of $55 will cover the initial assessment and textbook for the course.

The program is certified by Anderson and Anderson.

The Family Service Center is a social service agency that offers adoption services, individual and couple counseling, teen parenting assistance, and the Tree of Wishes.
