Lois Mote

[March 28, 2007]  Family and friends are invited to The Oasis senior center on Wednesday, April 4, to celebrate the life of Lois I. Mote. The gathering will include a meal from 5 to 7 p.m. and a tribute in memories, photographs and stories of her life.

Ms. Mote, 66, of Lincoln died March 10, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.

She worked 35 years at Lincoln Developmental Center before she retired.

She was born Feb. 2, 1941, in Lincoln to John William and Berta Sparrow Logan. She married Ronald Mote on June 12, 1959, in Lincoln. He survives.

Other survivors are one daughter, Lisa Buss of Lincoln; two sons, Roger Mote of Lincoln and Chad Mote of Panama City Beach, Fla.; one sister, Judy Harris of Lincoln; one brother, John Logan of Corcoren, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church, where she was active in True North. She was also active at The Oasis.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Jefferson Street Christian Church or The Oasis.
