Humane Society of Logan County sets special general membership meeting for April 30          Send a link to a friend

[April 05, 2007]  A special general membership meeting of the Humane Society of Logan County will be on April 30 at St. John United Church, 204 Seventh St., at 7 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to fill two vacancies on the board of directors.

Anyone wishing to be considered as a candidate for the board of directors should send a letter of intent to the board secretary, Tara Ritter, at 210 White Ave., Lincoln, IL 62656. Nominations will also be taken at the meeting. All nominations must be seconded at the meeting. The director shall be elected by plurality of votes cast by secret ballot if contested and by voice vote if not contested. Please refer to Article V, Section 3 of the bylaws for more information regarding election of the board of directors.

It is very important that members attend this meeting and take part in the business of the organization they helped establish. The group looks forward to your comments and participation.
