Wheat rises, soybeans fall           Send a link to a friend

[August 07, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Soybean prices slid while wheat finished sharply higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 14 cents to close at $6.64 a bushel; December corn was unchanged at $3.43 a bushel; December oats rose 1 cent to $2.70 a bushel; November soybeans plunged 11 cents to $8.50 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures closed mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 0.27 cent to end at 97.70 cents a pound; September feeder cattle added 0.20 cent to $1.1652 a pound; October lean hogs dipped 2.55 cents to 75.05 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose 0.20 cent to 87.55 cents a pound.
