Three CIEDC management staff members recently
attended a regional Head Start conference in Atlanta, Ga., to learn
about human resource issues and the Head Start program.
|
Attending the conference in late July were Sarah Puls of New
Holland, the Head Start director; Michelle Schulte of Havana, area
supervisor; and Dee Altman of Lincoln, human resources coordinator.
"I'm always pleased when staff has an opportunity to learn ways to
improve our program," said Angela Stoltzenburg, executive director.
"This conference also gave them an opportunity to meet other
management staff within the Head Start field, which is also a
valuable part of these opportunities."
The CIEDC Head Start
program is a free preschool experience for 3-5-year-olds. Head Start
prepares children for kindergarten and includes free screenings,
meals and more. CIEDC operates 15 Head Start classrooms throughout
the six-county service area.
