[August 13, 2007]  (AP) Forecasters predicted thunderstorms packing high winds and hail in the Midwest, lightning-filled storms in the Southeast and possible flash flooding on Monday.

Great Lakes region thunderstorms were expected to be strongest in Minnesota and Wisconsin, bringing damaging winds and hail and a possibility of tornados.

The Southeast will see a few thunderstorms characterized by quick bursts of heavy rain and a lot of lightning.

Thunderstorms were expected in the Southwest and a few flash floods were possible, especially in northeastern Arizona, where storms could remain nearly stationary for a long period.

On the West Coast, fog was expected in the Northwest

Temperatures in the lower 48 states Sunday ranged from a low of 32 degrees at Stanley, Idaho, to a high of 114 degrees at Phoenix, Ariz.
