Make Christmas happen for the veterans     Send a link to a friend

[August 15, 2007]  Main Street Lincoln is sponsoring a Christmas event for veterans.

A book called "The Soldiers' Night Before Christmas" will be sent to soldiers from Logan County who are serving in Iraq or to any veteran of your choice.

The sponsors are asking for help with names and addresses of these veterans, as well as monetary donations to purchase the books.

The cost for each book is $15, which includes postage and packaging.

If you would like for a special veteran to receive a book, please specify and your name will be put inside on a label to let them know.

Any and all proceeds left from these donations will be used at a later date for a memorial honoring the Iraq and Desert Storm veterans.
