Wheat prices rise          Send a link to a friend

[August 15, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat futures jumped while other agricultural prices fell Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 26 cents to end at $6.9250 a bushel; December corn fell 4 cents to $3.45 a bushel; December oats rose 1 cent to $2.60 a bushel; November soybeans fell 15.75 cents to $8.66 a bushel.

Beef futures rose while pork futures slipped on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.27 cent to 91.02 cents a pound; September feeder cattle rose 0.45 cent to $1.1580 a pound; October lean hogs fell 1.6 cent to 69.80 cents a pound; February pork bellies fell 2.73 cents to close at 92.77 cents a pound.
