Wheat, soybeans fall on Chicago Board of Trade

[August 16, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat and soybean futures fell Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

December wheat fell 14 cents to $6.97 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery fell 11.5 cents to $8.5450 a bushel, while December corn prices edged up 0.25 cent to $3.4525 a bushel, and December oats fell 2 cents to $2.58 a bushel.

Beef futures rose while pork futures slipped on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.77 cent to 95.92 cents a pound; September feeder cattle rose 0.57 cent to $1.1637 a pound; October lean hogs fell 1.23 cent to 68.57 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose 0.08 cents to close at 92.85 cents a pound.
