Agriculture Futures Close Higher          Send a link to a friend

[August 18, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures closed higher Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose a penny to close at $6.885 a bushel; December corn rose 6.75 cents to $3.4575 a bushel; December oats added 3 cents to $2.535 a bushel; November soybeans picked up 13.25 cents to $8.2775 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures closed higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 1.77 cents to 95.47 cents a pound; September feeder cattle gained 1.55 cents to $1.1687 a pound; October lean hogs added 0.35 cent to 66.65 cents a pound; February pork bellies added 1.37 cents to 93.97 cents a pound.
