Sauerberg thanks Rep. Dennis Hastert for his service to the people of Illinois          Send a link to a friend

[August 20, 2007]  CHICAGO -- The following statement from Steve Sauerberg, M.D., candidate for U.S. Senate, was released Friday:

"On behalf of the taxpayers, families and seniors of Illinois, I would like to thank Representative Hastert for his service to the people of this state and our country. Congressman Hastert is a dedicated public servant who has spent the last 20 years fighting for the values of the hardworking men and women of Illinois. His distinguished career will be remembered for his efforts to cut taxes, grow our economy and protect our homeland. The people of Illinois' 14th District were lucky to have a man of Representative Hastert's caliber representing them in Washington, and our party was lucky to have him as our leader in Congress for eight of his 20 years of service. I wish Denny and his family all the best."
