Lincoln parade: "Christmas through a child's eyes" still set for 1 p.m. on Sunday. Watch here for any change on Sunday. The parade will be broadcast live on radio station FM 96.3 Lincoln Country.
 


Logan County Weather Alert:  Freezing rain is expected to continue this morning through afternoon.  Primary roads and secondary roads are iced.  Both driving and walking conditions are hazardous.

Weather cancellation: Minier Christmas Parade and Stroll Postponed Due to the weather, the Minier Christmas Parade and Stroll have been cancelled for today. The stroll and parade will be held next Saturday, December 8. Stroll from 1-2 pm. Parade at 2:00 pm. Stroll after the parade until 4:30 with the committee tree-lighting at 4:30 pm.

New Salem Country Opry, Petersburg, IL, December 1 evening show postponed. Guests rescheduled to next week's Christmas Show.
 

Mr. Joe Haning is shown handling  Christmas trees at the Kiwanis Club’s tree lot located at the Hundman Lumber parking lot on Woodlawn Road.  Joe says the trees average $35 and the lot is open Monday-Sunday 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with proceeds going to local youth projects.  [picture by Karen Hargis] click on picture for larger image
