[December 01, 2007]
After a very successful event last March, all
CIEDC wants for Christmas this year is tickets sales for the second
annual Cheeseburgers in Paradise event, scheduled for March 8, 2008.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in
Lincoln, and cheeseburgers will be served for all.

The Cheeseburgers in Paradise event will once again feature Gary
Sluhan from St. Louis, who has perfected the sounds of Jimmy Buffett.
Sluhan had the crowd singing along all evening at the initial event
and received rave reviews. The evening will also include a live
auction and raffles.
Funds raised will be used to assist the senior programs at CIEDC
as the Community Action agency works to provide delivered meals,
congregate meals, homemaking services and transportation to the 60
and older populations of Mason and Logan counties. Cheeseburgers in
Paradise night is made possible by volunteers and the support of
local companies and the community. Tickets will go on sale at CIEDC
on Dec. 10, just in time for holiday gift giving. Tickets are $25
per person.

"Where else can you get a complete night of entertainment for $25
per person?" asked Angela Stoltzenburg, CIEDC executive director. "I
can't think of a better stocking-stuffer than tickets to the best
event in town and a chance to support local senior services. We look
forward to another successful event."
