Preachers Mauled by Panthers

[December 06, 2007]  The Lincoln Christian College Preachers were defeated by the Panthers of Greenville College 84-54 at Lincoln Tuesday evening.

LCC scored only 23 points on 29.6 percent shooting in the first half and was never able to recover. Although improving to 37 percent for the second half, they were still outscored by seven.

Alex Bond with 15 and Jon Wallace with 10 were the only Preachers registering double figures.

Greenville was led by Chris Simmons with 23, Ben Cochran with 20 and Ellis LaPhonso with 11.

LCC is now 3-6 and will play at Webster University on Saturday before taking a long semester break.
