For those of you attending Aerobics and Spin
classes, you'll have the opportunity to win a beautiful gift basket.
Our vintage locker room basket comes filled with delicious
selections from Abe's and a pedicure from Jayne's Salon. You may
register to win every time you attend, so the more often you come to
class, the better your chances will be! Aerobics and Spin classes
are included in circuit and full-access memberships.

Bump-set-spike It's time to get your volleyball team
together and sign up for the winter session. Rosters and fees are
due by Dec. 16. We will play on Tuesday evenings. This league, while
still at a recreational level, plays a little more seriously. We'll
wrap up the season with a double-elimination tournament. More
information is available at the front desk.
Gift certificates for the athlete
With the Christmas season upon us, many of us are searching for
the perfect gift. Lincoln Park District has a great variety of
offerings, each of them available as a gift certificate.
For those of you shopping for the athlete or a more active person
in your life, a membership to the Sports Center would be great.
There are several levels, beginning with the track and court
membership and topping out at the full-access membership. Contact
Christine at 732-8770 and she'll help you choose a level perfect for
you or yours.
Digital photography
Perhaps you know of someone getting a digital camera for
Christmas. The perfect accompaniment would be our Digital
Photography class. Stephen Klemm of Picture This Photography will
teach you the ins and outs of your camera. From what each of those
buttons do to enhancements, along with lots of tips from the pro,
he'll have you taking great photos. We will meet on Tuesday evenings
in February for four weeks. Classes are 90 minutes and start at 7
p.m. The cost is $50 per person.

Dance for adults
Ballroom dance has become a winter tradition here at the Lincoln
Park District. We gladly welcome Mike and Julie Bieser back as our
instructors. Bring your two left feet and your partner. Mike and
Julie will have you dancing like the stars just in time for
Valentine's Day. Your fun will begin Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. This
four-week session is $50 per couple, and each class is about an hour
long. Wear comfortable clothes and slick-soled shoes.
Christmas decorating contest
If you have decorated the outside of your home for Christmas, we
encourage you to enter our contest. You may register at the front
office at the park district or register online at
www.lincolnparkdistrict.com. Go to the
"Contact
Us" page, fill out the contact information, and be sure to
provide your address and a brief description. We will judge your
decorations based on originality, complexity and overall theme. The
judging will be done on Dec. 17 after 5 p.m. We plan to publish the
winners on our online site and in our local papers as well. This
will allow others in our community a "heads up" on where the best
displays are.
Prizes will be sponsored by Lincoln Park District. First place
will receive a one-year full access family membership. Second place
will be given a six-month full-access family membership. Our
third-place winner will get a three-month full-access family
membership. We encourage everyone to participate in this fun holiday
event.
