Memories Are Honored by This Local Business

[December 19, 2007]  Memory Lane, possibly the most colorful place in town, is a sight worth seeing more than once. As one walks in the door, vibrant silk flowers beam from the shelves.

Memory Lane sells memorials, silk flowers and 99-cent greeting cards. They have a large array of decor that includes candle rings, swags, garland and wreaths that would make great Christmas decorations and gifts.

Jim and Diana Haseley opened Memory Lane on Feb. 12, Lincoln's Birthday. It is a family-owned and operated business. The Dollar Store that had previously done silk flowers and memorials for 35 years helped the Haseleys get their start. The Dollar Store aided them in ordering and making some of their first arrangements. It has been important for Jim and Diana to keep this tradition of custom-made designs going, while adding their own personal style.

Their major work is in cemetery decorations, and memorials are definitely a specialty. Their busiest times of the year are the spring, and of course Memorial Day. Memory Lane can customize your order by adding special decor or vases to make your piece complete.

Jim and Diana ask that when you need something special to commemorate an event, think Memory Lane. Memory Lane is located on the corner of Keokuk and Sangamon streets. The phone number is 732-3500.
