Senate Roll Call on Tax Fix

[December 19, 2007]  (AP)  The 48-46 roll call by which the Senate voted to reject a House-passed bill to fix the alternative minimum tax for one year and cover the costs by raising taxes on users of offshore tax havens. Under Senate rules, 60 votes were needed to pass the bill.

On this vote, a "yes" vote was a vote to approve the House-passed bill and a "no" vote was a vote to defeat it.

Voting "yes" were 44 Democrats, 2 Republicans and two independents.

Voting "no" were 0 Democrats and 46 Republicans.
