The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
will have an informational workshop on Friday from 9 until 11:30
a.m. at CIEDC headquarters, 1800 Fifth St. in Lincoln. The workshop
is free to all, and Keep Warm Energy Kits will be available to
households that are LIHEAP-eligible.

LIHEAP staff will suggest to participants different ways to make a
home more energy-efficient and discuss the amounts of energy that
appliances use and waste every day. Kelly Comerford, LIHEAP
assistant coordinator, says, "You would be surprised just how much
energy is being used by a TV that is constantly on but not being
watched."
